ABOUT

Nim is an award-winning creative director, filmmaker, and artist working at the intersection of storytelling, innovative technology, and commercial entertainment. His work spans a spectrum of the moving image, from traditional ‘linear’ filmmaking to virtual-reality experiences. He won Webby, Addy, Clio & Lovie awards for his films, digital campaigns, commercials, interactive experiences, and XR projects.

Nim is a six-year veteran of Eko (aka Interlude), a leading innovator of interactive storytelling. Nim led the branding department of Eko from conception to execution of dozens of campaigns. As creative director, he created experiences for Coca-Cola, Viacom, NBC Universal, 7-Eleven, Nike, and Red Bull. Nim was also the creative director for interactive music videos featuring Wiz Khalifa, Trey Songz ft. Nicki Minaj, Carly Rae Jepsen, Led Zeppelin, and Coldplay.

Nim specializes in concepting and designing, crafting and mapping compelling narratives for immersive experiences. As a freelance creative director, He led innovative campaigns for ORACLE, Nespresso, Ikea, Walmart featuring LeBron James, A+E & Samsung featuring Jhené Aiko, Lexus & USA:NETWORK featuring SUITS’ Dulé Hill.

Nim is a 2021/2022 fellow at the MIT Open Documentary Lab (ODL). He is a 2020 alumni of NEWINC and a graduate of the La Biennale Di Venezia’s College Cinema for VR.

As an XR filmmaker, Nim’s work revolves around questions of humanism, communication, and empathy. As of 2018, Nim founded Metallux Studios. By harnessing extended realities, the studio focuses on narratives that promote social impact, LGBTQIA+ rights, and climate justice through spatial and sensory experiences. Nim directed and creative directed the studio’s first immersive VR film “Bystanding: The Feingold Syndrome”' that premiered at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival 2021.

Nim holds a BFA from the Steve Tisch School of Film and Television in Tel Aviv University. His thesis film "Sassi Keshet Never Eats Falafel" was an official selection of the 16th Shanghai International Film Festival (FIAPF-accredited film festival). Nim’s first break as a director came from winning Moby’s “Wait For Me” competition for the best music video. His video was handpicked by Moby himself from 500 entries based on “creativity, production value, concept, and humor”.

Nim is based in Brooklyn.
